Many industries release low-pressure steam (1 bar) from their production processes. Low-pressure steam has very high latent energy content. Heat recovery using traditional heat exchangers suffers from excessively high pressure drop or excessively low condensation efficiency. Gas boiler economizers
When fitted to a boiler, they save energy by using the exhaust gases from the boiler to preheat the cold water used for the boiler feed supply. The economizer is located between the boiler and the chimney, and can lower the exhaust gas temperature from approximately 200°C to typically about 65°C while preheating the process water from typically 30°C to 80°C. The Airec heat exchanger is specially designed for boiler economizer applications. With its high efficiency and very high condensing capacity, it can make greater use of the enthalpy, thereby helping to increase the total efficiency of the boiler to nearly 100%.
